For some of you it may be starting to look and feel like Fall, but here in California it still feels like Summer to me! Visit your local Farmer’s Market to take advantage of all the delicious end of Summer produce for this bright and cleansing Seasonal Summer Kale Salad. You can even experiment with the different varieties of kale they have to offer. For this salad, I used a combination of my two favorites- Curly and Purple Kale. And this salad is great for a BBQ or Summer picnic. And what’s Read more […]

I’ve always really enjoyed hummus, but mostly gave it and the rest of legumes up when I went Paleo a couple years ago. But there was no way I was going to miss out on the creamy smooth authentic hummus in Israel, along with all of the other scintillating Middle Eastern food. During my ten glorious days in the Holy Land, I devoured my share of falafel, shawarma, Israeli salad, Yemenite food, olives, pickled veggies and so much more! In fact, I’ve been dreaming about the tender melt-in-your mouth Read more […]

Another Thursday night came and went, which means it was time for another treat to take to the Santa Monica pier to share with everyone. I think last week was the best concert yet! Creamy Basil Zucchini Pasta

I’ve made my share of spaghetti squash dishes in place of pasta which is so easy, but I had yet to do anything with zucchini since I didn’t have a spiralizer and was honestly too lazy to julienne zucchini noodles by hand. When I saw this recipe on Pinterest I decided it was time to invest in a veggie spiralizer and I am so glad I did! I bought this GEFU Spiralizer on Amazon and it is super easy to use and makes beautiful zucchini spirals. I definitely recommend it! I also recommend this creamy, Read more […]
